Harry Potter breaks DVD records

Harry Potter is flying off the shelves in the US.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - the boy wizard's fourth adventure to hit DVD has enjoyed the franchise's best first day sales over the pond with more than five million copies sold.

However, it's not really all that surprising when you consider the movie's been released in a number of formats including a single-disc, two-disc special editions, four-disc gift packs along with rental copies which are also included in those figures.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is released on March 20 in the UK.
