Double Oscar-winner Jodie Foster is to team up with one of the youngest Academy Award nominees in history - "Little Miss Sunshine" star Abigail Breslin. The pair are to team up for a big screen version of Wendy Orr and Kerry Millard's popular book "Nim's Island".
The film will see Breslin playing a young girl who joins her scientist father on a journey to an isolated island in the South Pacific. But when he is lost at sea, she communicates electronically with a person she thinks is a character from a book but is in fact a reclusive author, played by Foster.
The husband and wife team of Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin ("Little Manhattan") will direct the film which is scheduled to start filming this summer.
