Strathairn joins the "Hereafter"

"Good Night, And Good Luck" star David Strathairn has landed the leads in "Hereafter", a movie set in the aftermath of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. Written and to be directed by Michael Patwin, the movie will see Strathairn playing an American businessman who is searching for his wife and children after the tsunami separates them in a remote area of Thailand.

Due to film in Thailand early next year, Patwin and the producers plan to donate a portion of proceeds to benefit orphans who have been forced into child labour since the tragedy.
