'Fat Boy' tops UK box office

Run Fat Boy Run, the British comedy from actor-turned-director David Schwimmer starring Simon Pegg leapt into 1st place at the UK box office at the weekend grossing more than £2,000,000.

The former Friends star's directorial debut boasts an international cast including BAFTA winning actress Thandie Newton (Crash, Mission Impossible II), Hank Azaria (Huff, The Simpsons) and Dylan Moran (Shaun of the Dead, A Cock and Bull Story).

The film opened in the UK on September 7.
