Milk actor Josh Brolin and Silence Of The Lambs star Anthony Hopkins have signed up to star in a forthcoming, as-yet-untitled Woody Allen film.
The film will be the New York director's third to be set in London, following Match Point and Scoop. Since 1965's What's New Pussycat, the comic drama veteran had shot his films - pretty much one each year - in New York until 2005 when he came to London.
His films have always found an audience in Europe and Spain was his next destination for Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which opens in UK cinemas this Friday and for which Penelope Cruz received an Oscar nomination.
Ahead of the Brolin/Hopkins movie will be Whatever Works, starring Evan Rachel Wood and comedian Larry David, due out in 2009 and marking Allen's return to New York.
No plot details regarding the newly announced film have been divulged but filming is scheduled to begin in the UK this summer, according to Variety.
