Johnny Depp is said to be narrating the forthcoming documentary about The Doors.
Tom DiCillo's film, When You're Strange, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month with DiCillo's own narration but Depp is due to lend his voice to the film, about the band fronted by troubled singer Jim Morrison, in a few weeks, according to Screen Daily.
"Johnny saw the film early on," said producer Peter Jankowski. "We showed him an early cut and he responded very strongly to the subject matter."
The Doors formed in 1965 and released memorable songs such as Riders Of The Storm and Light My Fire before splitting in 1973 following the death of Morrison.
