Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty in the forthcoming Star Trek movie, wants his ashes to beamed up into space like his character's predecessor James Doohan.

Doohan, who played the Scottish engineer in the sci fi franchise, died in 2005 and his ashes were blasted up to space last year to complete his last wish.

And Spaced star Pegg admits he has the same morbid wish. Speaking about his funeral arrangements (an odd topic of conversation) he told The Sun, "At my funeral anything will go dress wise. Don't feel a need to wear black. And I'd have Tomorrow Never Knows by the Beatles playing. It'll get everyone a bit psychedelic. And as James was fired into space, I'll have to do that with my ashes."

Elsewhere, the actor admitted playing Scotty was "a dream role. The fans are going to be very happy."

“Just being there on the Enterprise, it was incredible. You’re going to love it."

You can see the movie early next year.
