He may soon be catapulted into the A-List but rising British actor Jim Sturgess insists he has no plans to move to Hollywood.

The actor, who plays the lead in casino thriller 21 alongside Kevin Spacey, got his big break in last year's Beatles musical Across The Universe. He also appeared in this year's The Other Boleyn Girl.

"It's crazy! I don't quite know what happened," he admits.

"I have to give myself a slap in the face when I realise what has happened. I can't even keep up with it at the moment. It all came after Julie (Taymor) casted me in Across The Universe."

However, his feet are still on the ground and he says he won't be fleeing these shores for sunny Hollywood in the foreseeable future.

"I just finished doing a film in Belfast, and the next film I'm about to start is in London, so I don't have any plans to do so.

"It's nice to come back to reality - a place you know and understand, with people who know you from your childhood so that's important to me. I still live in London, and I've lived in London for years."
