"Thirteen" proved to be a lucky number for George Clooney and his fellow Rat Packers over the weekend as their latest heist adventure "Ocean's Thirteen" topped the US box office chart. The movie earned $37 million over the weekend (June 8th - 10th) and while that may be slightly less than expected, it should be noted that the film did open against the likes of horror sequel "Hostel: Part II" and animated penguin flick "Surf's Up".
Last week's No. 1 "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" was finally scuppered, falling to two, while Seth Rogan / Katherine Heigel comedy "Knocked Up" fell one place to third. The previously mentioned "Surf's Up" debuted in fourth as "Shrek the Third" rounded out the Top 5. Eli Roth's eagerly awaited "Hostel" sequel could only manage to open at sixth, although it did open on a thousand screens less than "Ocean's Thirteen".
