Zwart helming "Pink Panther 2"

Director Harald Zwart, the man behind such as classics as "Agent Cody Banks" and "One Night at McCool's", is to take charge of the upcoming "The Pink Panther 2". A sequel to 2005's remake of the classic Peter Sellars franchise, this follow-up will once again star Steve Martin as the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau.

Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber have made their screenwriting debut with the sequel, although Sony recently bought in the veteran pairing of Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel ("City Slickers") to give their script a bit of a polish. Shawn Levy, who directed Steve Martin's first outing as Closeau, is executive producing, with the film expected to star shooting in August.
