Cusack to sue after Stopping Power is stopped

John Cusack is suing the company behind action film Stopping Power, the action film he was starring in before it was shelved.

The 1408 actor claims Intermedia Film Equities USA promised to pay him £2.25 million ($4.5 million) regardless whether the film got completed or not.

Cusack is seeking £2.8 million compensation including expenses, TMZ reports.

Jan De Bont (Speed) was directing the film which was scrapped after several financiers pulled out.
