Lindsay Lohan has denied she was axed from a movie about Charles Manson, insisting she left because of other commitments.
The Mean Girls actress was due to play Nancy Pitman in the movie Manson Girls. The real life Nancy was 16 when she met crazed Charles Manson and joined his cult shortly after. She was at home when Manson's 'family' killed actress Sharon Tate and four others during a murder spree.
However, the troubled actress has left to work on other projects. Her spokeswoman Leslie Sloane said, "Unfortunately [the Manson movie] didn't come together quickly enough, and she was offered other roles, which she accepted and is looking forward to doing."
One of those projects is a guest appearance on hit TV show Ugly Betty - which sees Lohan play a former classmate of Betty. She is signed up for five episodes.
