You could be forgiven for thinking that Kim Cattrall's mother might find her daughter's racy role in Sex and The City embarrassing. Not a bit of it.
Shane Cattrall believes that the 51-year-old – who plays man-eater Samantha Jones in the TV series-turned-movie – is an inspiration to older women everywhere.
"Kim is a role model for 50-something women," she says. "Much has been made about her nudity in the film, but I think she looks fabulous."
Further, the 79-year-old is dismissive of those who view her daughter's onscreen antics with disgust. "Anyone who knocks that is jealous. All this about a bit of nudity is ridiculous."
The long-awaited Sex and The City: The Movie is released at the end of the month.
