Pixar - the Disney owned animation studio responsible for such modern CGI classics as "Toy Story", "Finding Nemo", "The Incredibles" and "Cars" - have announced details of a new project. "Up" will be released in 2009 and will tell the tale of a 70-year-old man who teams up with a wilderness ranger to fight beasts and villains. The film will see "Monsters, Inc" director Peter Docter calling the shots from behind the camera - or, in this case, from in front of the keyboard!
The announcement of "Up" now means Pixar have confirmed their plans for the next four years with Parisian-set mouse tale "Ratatouille" coming out this year, robotic sci-fi tale "Wall*E" set for release in 2008, and the long awaited "Toy Story 3" scheduled for 2010.
