It seems there was at least some truth to the rumours circulating last week about the long delayed new "Superman" movie; Warner Bros have now confirmed that "Charlie's Angels" director McG has indeed left the project for a second time.
Although the director's departure was described by the studio as amicable, it seems there were a number of key points of difference between them. As well as disagreeing about the not insubstantial issue of the budget for the superhero flick, McG apparently wanted to shoot the film in New York while the studio were keen to move the production to Australia and neither party could agree on who should fill the blue and red spandex of Superman himself.
There's no word yet on who is set to fill McG's boots, but if last week's rumour-mongers are to be believed then it could well be "Armageddon" and "The Rock" helmer Michael Bay.
