Toni Collette is set to play another sister dealing with tricky family relationships in a big screen adaptation of Susan Minot's popular novel Evening.
Collette (pic) recently co-starred as Cameron Diaz's plain older sister in hit romcom |n Her Shoes. This time her on-screen sibling is tipped to be Romeo + Juliet beauty Clare Danes. British veteran Vanessa Redgrave is being lined up to play the girls' mother.
The as-yet untitled film is about a 65-year-old cancer patient, Ann Grant Lord (Redgrave), looking back at the weekend in which she met the love of her life, while daughters Ann (Collette) and Nina (Danes) try to deal with her impending death and their own personal issues.
The film will be directed by Oscar-nominated Hungarian Lajos Koltai and is due to start shooting as soon as the cast officially signs on the dotted line.
