Daniel Radcliffe has shown his kind hearted nature after donating to a charity that helps suicidal young gay men and women.
The Harry Potter star made a large donation to the US charity The Trevor Project, which runs a 24 hour helpline offering support to the gay community.
Radcliffe said, "I am very pleased to begin my support of The Trevor Project, which saves the lives every day through its critical work.
"It's extremely distressing to consider that in 2009 suicide is a top three killer of young people, and it's truly devastating to learn that LGBTTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers."
Trevor Project's chief executive, Charles Robbins, said he was delighted to have the actor's support.
Radcliffe recently told gay magazine Attitude that he "loathed" homophobia.
