Mark Strong says he would like to work opposite his pal Daniel Craig as a Bond villain.
The British actor, who appears in Body Of Lies alongside Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio, starred with Craig in the 90's BBC drama Our Friends In The North and would love to join him in a 007 flick. However, he thinks it would be difficult for them to work together as people might still associate the pair with their roles in the TV series.
"I've love to play a Bond baddie, yeah. I'm not sure I can though because they wouldn't let Geordie and Tosker be in the same movie!" he told Digital Spy.
"Daniel and I are really close friends, he's godfather to my little boy," he added. "I see him a lot. He’s grown up enormously. Its fascinating watching the change that's happened to him by taking [Bond] on board and being in the public eye.
"We occasionally speculate on how bizarre it was that we used to walk down the street in Newcastle and say, 'Is this any good, this thing we're doing?'"
Strong recently revealed that he missed out on the role that earned Javier Bardem an Oscar in Coen Brothers' No Country For Old Men. It was offered to him but he had to turn it down as his wife was due to give birth.
