Holmes romp to be screened

Katie Holmes' now legendary sex scene in new film Thank You For Smoking WILL be screened - despite reported opposition from husband Tom Cruise.

Moviegoers were extremely disappointed when they found out it was to confined to the cutting room floor, but the decision has been overruled by producers.

In the flick, Katie, 27, who plays a reporter investigating a tobacco company's practices, is seen romping with co-star Aaron Eckhart, the tobacco spokesman.

Director Jason Reitman said: “It’s humorous humping. It’s Katie and Aaron gyrating back and forth.”

A spokeswoman for makers Fox Searchlight, added: “The film has never been altered. It will be released with the scene.”

Rumours that the sex scene would not feature in the film began when it was cut from the premiere, to the sound of boos from the media. Reitman then blamed a “technical glitch” saying the editor cut it by mistake, but it was always intended to be shown.
