Hollywood star Christian Slater is travelling to the Edinburgh Fringe festival to present the top comedy award.
The True Romance star, who made his stage debut at the Fringe in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, said he is "delighted to be returning to Edinburgh".
Over 350 artists are eligible for the award, which was formerly known as the Perrier and carries a cash prize of £8,000. Slater will present the lucky winner with their gong - which has previously been won by Steve Coogan, Lee Evans and last year's pick Phil Nichol - on August 25.
Shortly afterwards, Slater returns to London's West End to play the lead role in the stage adaptation of the Kevin Spacey movie Swimming With Sharks.
Slater is currently filming action-thriller Love Lies Bleeding - about a young couple who find a stash of 'dirty money' after a shoot-out in their apartment building, and flee with it - alongside co-stars Jenna Dewan and Brian Geraghty.
