Jackie Chan rushes to No1

Jackie Chan has topped the US Box Office with Rush Hour 3.

The martial arts legend co-stars with Chris Tucker in a third instalment of the comedy crime caper series, which earned $50.2mr (£24.8m) over the weekend, knocking last week's chart-topper, Matt Damon's The Bourne Ultimatum, down to second place.

The next highest new entry was Claire Danes fantasy Stardust, which entered at No4. The only other new entry in the top 10 - Daddy Day Camp - went in at number 10. The sequel to the comedy Daddy Day Care stars Cuba Gooding Jr as a man who oversees a chaotic family holiday.

Meanwhile The Simpsons Movie dropped to No3 in the US chart, despite once again topping the international box office ahead of Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix.
