Disney's live action pet comedy Beverly Hills Chihuahua has topped the US box office for the second week running.

The canine comedy about a pampered pooch has become a surprise comedy smash since it's release two weeks ago. It's £17.5 million takings this weekend ensured the top spot, beating off surprise horror hit Quarantine and the mighty pairing of Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio in Ridley Scott's political thriller Body Of Lies.

The Iraq war-themed film could only manage a slightly disappointing $13 million over the weekend to land third place - with techno action adventure Eagle Eye not far behind with takings of $11 million.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which stars Juno's Michael Cera, was in fifth place.
