"The Bucket List" kicks back in the US Box Office Chart

Finally, after three weeks at the summit of the chart, "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" has been toppled from the top spot by "The Bucket List" - a new inspiring comedy featuring the combined heavyweights of Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. "The Bucket List" scooped up an incredible $20 million in its opening weekend to claim an unlikely victory in the US Chart.

Another new entry in at 2 is the next chapter in Ice Cube's 'Sunday' series. "First Sunday" narrowly missed out on the top spot having grossed just $1 million less than "The Bucket List". Still going strong at 3 is indie-comedy "Juno" with "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" dropping three places to 4.

"Alvin and the Chipmunks" is utilising its post-Christmas popularity to good effect sticking around at 5 as "I Am Legend" falls three places down to 6. Proving something of a damp squib Stateside is Japanese horror adaptation "One Missed Call" falling a further two places down to 7.

At 8, Hilary Swank's romantic comedy "P.S. I Love You" is still clinging on to its chart status with the last of this week's new entries "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" at 9 - a family friendly animation featuring three vegetable friends. And benefiting from its Golden Globe success "Atonement" rounds up the chart at 10.
