Hot Fuzz star needs a hit

He might be the hottest writer/actor in UK cinema right now but Simon Pegg says he's still broke.

The star behind Shaun Of The Dead and Spaced hopes his latest movie Hot Fuzz is a hit as he could do with the cash. Despite making millions both in the UK and overseas Pegg hasn't made much money from Shaun Of The Dead's success.

"It annoys me when people think it's made me rich because I haven't seen any profit from that film (Shaun of the Dead) - not a penny," the actor/writer said.

"It was all down to our contract. The studio was taking a gamble and had to minimise its risk because it was our first film."

Hot Fuzz is out in cinemas today.
