Sneak peak at "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"!

Yes, that's right I am tragically sad, if there weren't enough major releases making their bow this summer (hello "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk"), I'm already looking forward to summer 2009 and the return of a certain taloned, and rather angry, mutant who goes by the name of John Logan (or Wolverine).

The prequel spin-off "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is scheduled for release May 1, 2009 and will chart Wolverine's complicated past and his ties to the Weapon X programme, the programme that grafted the adamantium on to his regenerative bones.

USA Today managed to track down Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, on set and he kindly filled in some of the blanks about this new adventure;

According to Jackman, Wolverine's nemesis Sabretooth (to be played by one of either Liev Schreiber or Gerard Butler according to the most recent rumours) "is going to play a big part in it. And there will be a good bit of cameos of new and familiar mutants" Jackman added "But you can't give too much away, because fans are pretty hard-core. Their expectations go up a level every time you come out with a new film."
