Comedian Bana's a shy-boy really

Comedian Eric Bana might seem confident on screen, but the actor says he's anything but an extrovert in his personal life.

The hunky Australian – whose career kicked off with TV sketch show Full Frontal, before he bagged Hollywood roles in Troy, Munich and forthcoming comedy Lucky You – gets embarrassed by being the centre of attention - whether it's at a party or in the presence of fans.

"I do like being stupid on set," Bana told Elle. "I like knocking around with the crew and having fun in that way, but I don't like to be the centre of attention."

He continued: "I'd rather anyone talk at a party but me, unless I'm with close friends and I've had a drink. You get sick of yourself. Anyone can jump onstage and do something: I wanna watch."

That's the thing, Eric - we all just wanna watch you!
