Mike Myers' forthcoming comedy The Love Guru is still under scrutiny from Hindu leaders who feel the film might be offensive to their religion.

Some Hindu groups have reportedly requested that India's Central Board of Film Certification and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ban screenings of the movie in India.

Universal Society of Hinduism president Rajan Zed previously said the film "appears to be lampooning Hinduism", while Bhavna Shinde, a representative of Hindu organisation Janjagruti Samiti and Sanatan Society for Scientific Spirituality has said that the censor board should "stop distributing or screening the movie 'til Paramount has made necessary changes ... so that it will not hurt the feelings of the worldwide spiritual and Hindu community."

The film which comes with the tagline "His Karma is huge" stars Myers alongside Ben Kingsley (who of course famously played Gandhi), Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake with New Age guru and author Deepak Chopra making a cameo.
