It's not just the young starlets such as Amy Winehouse who are experiencing difficulties at the moment. The legendary Liza Minnelli was rushed to hospital and stayed there overnight after she collapsed on stage in Sweden on Thursday.
The Cabaret star was performing at the Scandinavium in Gothenburg when she fell off the side of the stage. It is not known the reason for her collapse but she was spared further injury by the show's production manager who caught her.
She stayed at the hospital overnight and has headed back to New York for further treatment.
Minnelli's spokesperson Liz Rosenberg said, "A doctor upon examining her and in consultation with her NY physician determined that it would be necessary for the Oscar-winning actress and singer to immediately return to New York City to receive further medical examination."
Sweden hasn't been very kind to Minnelli - one of her staff members were arrested recently for reportedly beating up a photographer in Stockholm. Rock 'n' roll!
