Ellen Page, riding a crest of a wave at the minute with her Oscar-nom for the brilliant "Juno" is certainly in demand at the minute and she has just signed up to a new psychological thriller entitled "Peacock".
Page has trod this territory before, and to startling effect, in David Slade's "Hard Candy" - the role that brought Page to the attention of the cinematic world. Joining Page for "Peacock" is "28 Days Later" and "Sunshine" star Cillian Murphy.
"Peacock" will see Murphy play a split personality and recluse who manages to convince a small town that his warring personalities are in fact man and wife (how he achieves this exactly is anyone's guess but it will be worth the wait to find out!). Page meanwhile will play a young mother who may hold the key to unlocking the conflicted man's past and inadvertently triggers a war between the two sides of Murphy's character.
Shooting starts in May with first-time director Michael Lander taking up shouting duties.
