"T3" team bringing "The Surrogates"

The creative trio behind "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" are to re-team to bring graphic novel "The Surrogates" to life on the big screen. Director Jonathan Mostow and writers Michael Ferris and John Brancato are working on the Disney project, which debuted as a five part comic book series earlier this year.

The graphic novel is set in 2054 where, according to publisher Top Shelf Comix, life has been reduced to a data feed, with the fusing of virtual reality and cybernetics having ushered in a new technology that lets users interact with the world without ever leaving their homes. But when a techno-terrorist sets out to return society to a time when people lived their lives instead of merely experiencing them, Detectives Harvey Greer and Pete Ford of the Metro Police Department are charged with stopping him.
