Following the $1 billion worldwide success of the Rush Hour movies it's no surprise that Jackie Chan wants to team up with his co-star Chris Tucker again.

However, you won't be seeing a fourth Rush Hour movie any time soon. The action comedy pair shook hands recently on a deal to kick start a whole new franchise - although we're guessing it will keep the Tucker wisecracks/Chan highkicks dynamic.

The martial arts star told MTV, "It’s like two days ago when Chris Tucker called me. We sat down and decided we want to do another movie. Not a Rush Hour — something new.”

“I said yes, and after I shook (Tucker’s] hand, I said: ‘Look, we need a middleman. I don’t want to shake hands, then I go back to Hong Kong and you stay here, I get busy and you get busy’.

“You have to have somebody in the middle to follow up, otherwise it will never happen. We’ve just agreed to do it. Now we’re looking for the writer.”

No word yet on the details of the new movie or whether Rush Hour director Brett Ratner would be involved. What is definite though is that the new movies will be made far quicker than the Rush Hour movies. "We finished Rush Hour 1 and it was six years later that we made Rush Hour 2 and then six years later we made Rush Hour 3. It’s too long!”
