Ricci 'not sexy enough' for film

Christina Ricci admits she nearly didn't get her role as a disturbed nymphomaniac in Black Snake Moan - because producers thought she wasn't sexy enough.

Instead, the actress, 27, had to persuade the filmmakers that she could 'do sexy' by bombarding them with pictures of her.

"They didn’t even want me to audition," Ricci said. "But I bleached my hair, auditioned and they still weren’t fully convinced.

"They were worried I wasn’t going to be sexual enough, so my agents and publicist just inundated them with sexy images of me. Eventually they said, ‘OK, we’ll hire her'."
