The MTV Movie Awards take place on June 1 at the Gibson Amphitheater. As well as handing out gongs, including the Golden Popcorn, to the top film stars the ceremony will, as usual, boast a couple of music performances from top acts.
This year Coldplay and The Pussycat Dolls are the music stars. Chris Martin and co. will perform their current, rather excellent single Violet Hill while the the glamorous girls will perform a song from their forthcoming album.
Among the nominated films are Superbad, leading the way with five nominations, and Juno, which is up for four. Actors from films like Enchanted, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Knocked Up are also in contention for awards.
The ceremony will be shown on MTV One on Monday June 2 from 8pm.
