Kevin Spacey is now a Lord after a friend bought him the stately title as a gift.
The US actor was overjoyed to receive the present by a pal, who bought the legally recognised title through a specialist company. And Spacey has already learned that his new name has fringe benefits - especially when he can't get any staff attention at bars or restaurants.
Spacey said, "I was able to get a credit card that actually says Lord Kevin Spacey. I use it when I get really bad service."
Despite his new title, Spacey has played down suggestions he might put on a faux British accent for good.
"My friends would kick me down the street. It would be terrible," he added.
