Dame Judi Dench accidentally slashed her hands during a dinner party
The veteran British actress was at her Notes On A Scandal director Sir Richard Eyre's home when she slipped and cut her hand.
Eyre explained, "Judi characteristically was getting up with a large pile of plates after dinner and she slipped on her way to the dishwasher and cut her hand in a very, very dramatic way."
Dench was spotted at the Cheltenham Literature Festival recently showing off her left hand in bandages and dressing.
The 74-year-old is accident prone of late it seems. Earlier this year she was rushed to hospital after she hurt her ankle while performing a play.
