While the Arrested Development movie is in the works, with Jason Bateman and co on board, Michael Cera has not signed up to appear.
Cera, who plays George-Michael Bluth in the television series, is said to be the only cast member who hasn't put pen to paper.
In fact the Juno actor previously went as far as saying: “I don't think I would want to see a movie of the series if I was a fan, anyway. He also added: I don't really see a need for it if you can get the three seasons on DVD.”
While Bateman speculated that Cera might be biding his time, the TV show's writer/producer Mitch Hurtwitz hinted that he is prepared to write a script that doesn't include Cera's character and may even change the dynamics by moving the family on five years.
