Eckhart lands Two Face role

So who is the actor playing dastardly Two Face in the next Batman movie. Is it Ryan Phillippe? Nope. Jamie Foxx the telephone operator? Nope. Aaron Eckhart the mild mannered star of Thank You For Smoking? Could be...

Yep, in fact Warner Bros have announced that in the forthcoming movie sequel Dark Night, Harvey ‘Two Face’ Dent will be played by Eckhart, an actor last seen in the Black Dahlia.

However, it's unlikely that we will actually get to see much of the villain in the follow-up to Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. That's because Eckhart will be mostly playing his alter ego district attorney of Gotham City Harvey Dent and portraying the events that lead to his disfigurement, setting up a possible third film.

The character was last played by Tommy Lee Jones in 1995's Batman Forever.

Meanwhile, Heath Ledger will play main villain The Joker.
