Daniel Craig may be tied to the Bond franchise for the foreseeable future, but it's not stopped him taking on other roles.
The latest is a thriller, Blindness, in which Craig is tipped to co-star with Julianne Moore as doctor and wife. Adapted from Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago's novel, the plot revolves around a blindness epidemic that sweeps through a contemporary city, paralysing its citizens to a point where society is on the verge of breaking down.
The Focus Features International film will be directed by Fernando Meirelles (The Constant Gardner),although there's no word on where the film will be set or US distributor tied in yet.
Meanwhile Craig has two major releases - The Invasion and The Golden Compass - coming out this year, and will also be donning his 007 tuxedo to start work on the as-yet untitled Bond 22.
