Scarlett Johansson has finally denied the long-running rumour that she and Usual Suspects actor Benicio Del Toro had sex in a lift.
Many people believed that the Lost In Translation star and Del Toro got it on at LA's Chateau Marmont after the 2004 Oscars and it turns out the rumour may have been inadvertently started by the actress herself - a joke which backfired.
"I never had sex with Benicio Del Toro in an elevator," Johansson told OK!. "It was a sarcastic quote that I unfortunately gave to a journalist and it was taken out of context."
She added: "If you've ever been to the Chateau Marmont elevator, you'll know you can barely stand, let alone do anything like that. But I'm not one for sex in public places - save it for the bedroom."
