Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terence Stamp are set to join Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in forthcoming comedy "Get Smart", which "The Longest Yard" and "50 First Dates" director Peter Segal is due to start filming next month. The Rock will play a newly created character, Agent 23, while Stamp will play the leader of the bad guys.
The comedy, based on the 1965 Mel Brooks/Buck Henry created sitcom, will be shot in L.A., Washington D.C. and Moscow. Director Segal said the premise has been updated, but they have managed to retain some of the original touchstones from the sitcom, including the "cone of silence", the shoe phone and even the original cars driven by Smart.
