Susan Sarandon has spoken out over the recent death of Brad Renfro, who she starred with in 1994s The Client.
The troubled actor, who had a history of drink and drug problems, was found dead at his house on Monday. His roommates claim he was out the night before drinking. He was 25.
Sarandon was stunned by the news of his death, saying, "I had the pleasure of working with Brad when he was eleven in The Client. It was obvious to everyone that he was the sweetest, most incredibly gifted young actor to come along for some time. My heart goes out to the family for their tragic loss."
An autopsy is planned for Thursday.
