Rihanna is being tipped to star in a remake of 1992 hit film The Bodyguard.
The Umbrella singer is rumoured to be considering playing the role made famous by Whitney Houston while GI Joe/Step Up actor Channing Tatum is being lined up to play the Kevin Costner role, according to the New York Daily News.
An insider describes the proposed remake as a "young and sexy take" on the original. Whether producers will want her to sing a new version of the film's chart-topping hit I Will Always Love You remains to be seen.
Rihanna has also been linked with a role in Charlie's Angels 3. The Barbadian singer was apparently bitten by the big screen bug when she made a cameo in 2006 film Bring It On: All or Nothing and she hopes to appear in more, presumably higher profile, movies.
"I'd love to star in some movies, that's my next goal. I love my music but I want to get into movies," she previously said.
