Not to worry, the post-awards Benjamin Button backlash hasn't sent Mr Pitt packing off to work at his nearest Marriott. Instead, his Plan B production company have snapped up the opportunity to produce Paramount's adaptation of John Le Carre's espionage thriller "The Night Manager".
Perhaps the most lauded of Le Carre's back catalogue, "The Night Manager" tells the story of a hotel manger who is forced to infiltrate a deadly international arms network. Encouragingly, politically savvy writer and director Robert Edwards has been mooted to pen the screenplay, with the former intelligence officer certain to bring a hint of authenticity to proceedings.
Given the talent involved, it certainly has the potential to enjoy similar success to 2005's "The Constant Gardener" and may even surpass it.
