Hannibal joins Wolfman?

Anthony Hopkins is in talks to join Benicio Del Toro in the upcoming remake of The Wolf Man.

The Hannibal star is top of director Mark Romanek's (One Hour Photo) list to play mentor to suitably hirsute Del Toro's Wolfman.

The movie tells the tale of Lawrence Talbot, a Victorian Englishmen who is bitten by a werewolf. Del Toro is also co-producing the project for Universal while Andrew Kevin Walker (se7en, Sleepy Hollow) is writing the script.

The Wolf Man should be with us early 2008.
