Travolta and co. "Hog" the chart

Following its chart topping success across the pond, it should come as now surprise whatsoever to find out that road trip comedy "Wild Hogs" has repeated its success over here. The movie, which stars John Travolta and Tim Allen, debuted in the No. 1 position over the weekend (April 13th - 15th), earned just under £1.7 million. Mind you the "Hogs" were run close - previous No. 1 "Mr. Bean's Holiday" managed to take £1.5 million over the same period, despite having been in cinemas for three weeks now.

Third place went to Will Ferrell and Jon Heder's ice dance comedy "Blades Of Glory" as Mark Wahlberg's "Shooter" debuted at four while the mighty Spartan armies of "300" finished the weekend in fifth. And we should make quick mention of the week's other debutanates - martial arts epic "Curse of The Golden Flower" opened in sixth, Bruce Willis / Halle Berry thriller "Perfect Stranger" could only manage a lowly ninth and the Oscar-winning "The Lives Of Others" put in a good showing to crack the Top Ten at ten.
