It's been a long time coming but The X-Files bosses have finally announced the title of the forthcoming movie.
The sequel to the 1998 movie - itself a big screen version of the cult TV show - will be called The X-Files: I Want To Believe. If you are a fan of the show you will know that is the motto on the poster hanging in Mulder's office and, according to creator and director Chris Carter, it is an apt title.
"It's a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. 'I Want to Believe'. It really does suggest Mulder's struggle with his faith," said Carter. "It's a natural title."
While Carter may be happy to announce the title, he's not so keen to reveal details about what lies in store for Mulder and Scully - once again played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
Carter reveals that pictures of a werewolf costume on The X-Files set were deliberately leaked recently as part of an elaborate disinformation strategy.
"We went to almost comical lengths to keep the story a secret," revealed Carter. "That included allowing only the key crew members to read the script, and they had to read it in a room that had video cameras trained on them. It was a new experience."
Let's see if it was all worth it when the film comes out on July 25.
