We all knew it would be big but "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix" has gone and smashed the record for the biggest four-day opening weekend in UK box office history. The previous best was the £14.3 million taken by "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" in May 2005 - but this past weekend saw the teenage wizard's fifth film earn £16.5 million during it's first four days in cinemas (June 12th - 15th).
Last week's chart topper "Shrek The Third" came in second with £2.8 million, taking it's total UK earnings to date past the £30 million mark, while "Die Hard 4.0" finished third with £2 million. Comic book hit "Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer" finished the weekend fourth with "Ocean's 13" rounding out the Top 5.
