Irish teen actress Saoirse Ronan is to star alongside Pierce Brosnan and Morgan Freeman in new family film The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.
The film will directed by Danny DeVito and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, tells the story of a young girl who joins a rebellion aboard a ship.
DeVito also penned the screenplay for the film for which shooting will begin in September.
The increasingly busy Ronan, who starred with Keira Knightley and Venessa Redgrave in Atonement (pic), will also soon be seen in City of Ember and The Lovely Bones.
