Not to be outdone, Maggie Q ("Die Hard 4.0" and "Miami Vice") has taken on the lead role in computer game, Beat-Em-Up adaptation "King of Fighters". The reigning champion at Japanese arcades, "King of Fighters" is seen as a direct competitor to "Street Fighter" - a live-action adaptation which is again in the works with "Smallville's" Kristin Kreuk starring in "The Legend of Chun Li".
Directed by Hong Kong's Gordon Chan, "King of Fighters" will also feature regular brawler Ray Park ("Star Wars: The Phantom Menace"), and David Leitch ("V for Vendetta"), who doubles as action choreographer.
The $12 million production will wrap in mid-January, with the movie scheduled to hit our screens in the early part of 2010.
