Hartnett denies dating Rihanna

Singer Rihanna and actor Josh Hartnett are not an item according to the latter, despite recently being seen snogging in a New York club.

"She's fun, she's a nice girl. We just met on TRL. I don't know her," the Black Dahlia star told Us magazine, slightly unconvincingly.

Hartnett is no stranger to beautiful women having previously dated Scarlett Johansson and supermodel Helena Christensen, while Barbadian beauty Rihanna was recently linked with Transformers star Shia LaBeouf.

Hartnett is said to have made a beeline for Rihanna's table following her concert on Thursday night concert at the Nokia Theatre in NYC's Times Square.

A witness said: "Right away they were dancing, drinking Dom Perignon and making out at the table. They didn’t come together, but left together."
